This page represents my web design work. It includes:
Front-end website/interface design, using XHTML with CSS.
Flash and Web Banners. I also create Flash based websites,
depending on the specific goals of the site.
I specialize in using Wordpress as a Content Management System (CMS).
Originally designed as a blogging tool, Wordpress has transformed
into a full fledged Content Management System. With the plethora of
confusing and complicated CMS's on the market, Wordpress has
proved itself a very simple system for the client to use. It
also has the flexibility of being expanded through plug-ins to provide
other solutions for all challenges. Including, but not limited to: E-Commerce,
Dynamic Driven News Updates, RSS Feeds, the original Blogging
functionality and much more!
In the design process, I use Adobe Photoshop (and Illustrator for Vector Output) to create my mock up (comp) sites. After client approval
I them hand code them using XHTML and CSS, or build it out in Flash. Then connect & develop them with the Content Management System used. Text editing programs like Text Mate, BB Edit
as well as Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, with both Firefox's Firebug and Web Developer Toolbar
are all applications I employ in my design and development process.

CHALLENGE:
This is a website with a primary focus of photo galleries that need to be expanded on a regular basis.
SOLUTION:
Wordpress used as a Content Management System provided a simple,
yet very powerful solution also utilizing full blog functionality.
Incorporating the "Lightbox" Web 2.0 Effect, gave the look and feel
of a Flash based viewing experience in the galleries, while retaining
full accessibility for all views. An “old world map” or “pirate map”
sparked the inspiration of this design.

CHALLENGE:
This site needed to have a testimonial feature, weekly tips feature, as well as a mailing list functionality.
SOLUTION:
A content management system was set up, with the story/posting functionality utilized to update the Tips and Testimonial areas. This functionality also utilizes RSS (Real Simple Syndication). Providing syndication of all of the updated content, and allowing subscribers to add to their news reader of choice. A rotating flash banner advert was added on the front page. It provides graphic updates, promotions, and call outs with in the site. No mailing list management system was set up. A simple e-mail form submission was used instead for the mailing list functionally, since it was more applicable with the sites traffic.

CHALLENGE:
MB Design Build
is a Interior/Exterior Design
and Construction Company.
The core goals are to have
an expandable photo gallery,
an up datable project area,
and general information
of their services.
SOLUTION:
A content management system was set up, with the story/posting functionality utilized to update the project and services areas. The pictures of each listing pull from a gallery system, and the gallery area also incorporates the "Lightbox" Web 2.0 effect for viewing.
A flash based sideshow on the front page provides a stunning
look into the work this firm has done. It also draws the viewers
attention upon entering the site. The slide show is fully updateable
by creating a separate gallery in the gallery system, which the slide
show pulls from. Banner ads and marketing assets can also be rotated
out by placing them into the specified gallery. A very clean, simple, sophisticated
layout, with very vibrant colors, were also the requirements of the site. This was
in order to match the clients’ particular style in the design work they do.

A private art gallery and events space, that need to present a professional look with simple, yet elegant photo galleries. Incorporating an interactive map to find this tucked away location is also paramount.
SOLUTION:
This site was designed "static", where it only needed to showcase the same basic information throughout the life of the site. No CMS was used, however a flash based photo gallery provided a stunning solution to showcase such a beautiful space. A Google map was incorporated into the location page for excellent mapping tools. As per the clients request, very vibrant colors were used, plus the layout was to remain very simple, and clean.
